Konkan Beach Marathon

Konkan Beach Marathon is run entirely on the beach. The sand is compact and firm. We start running before the sunrise when there is the early dark blue light. At the finish everyone dips into the Arabian Sea. You can keep a change of clothes at the baggage counter at the start-finish point. At the finish you will have music band, this beach carnival continues up to 10:30 AM.

Race is conducted under the aegis of Raigad District Athletic Association.

Previous day schedule:

11:15 AM :Meet at Gateway of India
Take boat to Alibag followed bus ride to Karpewadi.
Stay arrangement allocation from Karpewadi boat office.
3PM to 6PM: Bib distribution at Karpewadi boat office
6 PM – Bada Khana, the dinner at Karpewadi, dinner and entertainment is a big thing on the previous night. You can pre-pay for dinner .
If you are too full and want to skip the dinner just join us for the singing and jamming session. Get your instruments and voice. The festivities start at 6 PM and go on till 9 PM. Most people will dress up in Hawaiian shirts and skirts. If you would like to perform at the event then contact us !
