At this film screening we will be showcasing films made around India's Epic Outdoors by young Indian cinematographers. Proceeds from the event are shared with the outdoorsy community. July's feature is about India's Kayaking festivals. These festivals are barely known and they bring together some of India's best kayaking athletes.

Outdoor Adventure Movies Event: July

Let’s Be Outdoorsy brings you close to the outdoors yet again with tomorrow’s event Outdoor & Adventure Movies. The July edition features the sport of Kayaking. Get ready to experience the rush of the rapids, the speed of racing through raging rivers through films shot by Indian film makers around India’s epic outdoors.

Date: 7^th July 2018-07-05

Venue: Title Waves, Bandra West.

Time: 7:30-9pm

The three films that we will be screening tomorrow will showcase some of the lesser known outdoor adventure festivals of India. The Ganga Kayak Festival, The Malabar River festival and Kali will be the highlights. These films have been shot by film makers Shelly Sharma and Neil D’Souza.

Shelly Sharma is 27 years old and comes from a small village near Kota, Rajasthan. She is an independent cinematographer and filmmaker. Having started her career 4 years back as an assistant director in films, her passion for cameras and lighting made her move to cinematography within a year. This film is her work on the Kayak film festival which she shot for Neil productions.

Whereas Neil Productions was founded by its director Neil D’souza in 2014. Before heading his own production house, he founded two startups, and worked as the head of web development and assistant DOP at 1st December Films. He has even shot “Kali” along with the films mentioned before.

Through these film screenings, we at Let’s Be Outdoorsy are working towards brings India’s epic outdoors to the city folk. Proceeds from the event will be shared with film makers as a token for them to continue pursuing their awesome work.

Tomorrow’s event will be a showcase about the lesser known kayaking festivals around India; one of which will be taking place at the end of this month! Hence it will be of great interest to you to witness the awesomeness that these festivals brew. We also have a few surprises in store for you, we’ll reveal them in good time!
