Look Out For These Sporting Events 2017-18

More than ever before, the fever of sports is spreading like wild fire all over the country and the world. Did you notice India is gradually heading towards raising its rank in sports? Here’s a low down of some cool sporting events you can go for.

International Ice Hockey Championship, Michigan 1st– 8th April 2017 (Women), Paris and Cologne 5th – 21st May 2017. 

USA Hockey Arena will be hosting the International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championship. It will be held in Plymouth, Michigan. The Championship will be featuring the top female hockey players over the globe competing for the gold medal.

The 2017 IIHF World Championship will be hosted later in the next month of May in Paris and Cologne. You can choose to visit any of the three countries to get your dose of action on the ice.

This event will witness a huge count of athletes more than in Olympics. It is a single multi – sport event over the globe. Wimbledon 2017, England 3rd – 16th July 2017

IAAF – International Association of Athletics federation World Championships, London 5th – 13th July 2017

This will be the 16th edition of IAAF World Championships, which is held in London, United Kingdom. The Olympic Stadium in Stratford will be hosting the championship. Don’t miss the chance to witness all the outstanding athletes participating and competing under one roof at the IAAF Championships.

BWF World Championships, Glasgow 21st – 27th August 2017

BWF World Championship is a badminton competition where the best of badminton athletes compete for glory. It is also known as World Badminton Championships and the upcoming edition will be held in Glasgow, Scotland. Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics, South Korea 9th – 25th February 2018

The XXII Winter Olympic Games will be held in Pyeongchang, South Korea. It is an international multi – sport event. This includes sports like Alpine skiing, Biathlon, Figure skating, Ice Hockey and many more games. South Korea is a beautiful destination to visit and being there during the winter Olympics will be quite a unique experience.

Commonwealth Games, Gold Coast 4th – 15th April 2018

The XXI Commonwealth Games will be at Gold Coast in 2018. This is the fifth time Australia will be hosting the event. If you enjoy mixing sporting events with your holidays plan your summer vacations at the placid location of Queensland watching the Commonwealth Games with your dear ones.

2018 FIFA World Cup, Russia 14th June – 15th July 2018

This will be the 21st football world cup series, a quadrennial international football tournament contested by the men’s national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The forthcoming tournament of FIFA World Cup is to be held in Russia and this will be the first world cup to be hosted in Europe since 2006. World Orienteering Championship, Latvia, Europe 3rd – 12th August 2018

The next World Orienteering Championship will be held in Latvia, Europe. Orienteering is a sport that combines both physical and mental elements. It includes running, mountain biking, skiing and trail orienteering. FINA World Swimming Championships 2018, China 7th – 18th December 2018

The 14th edition of FINA Championships will be held in Hangzhou, China. This championship will feature water based events in a 25 metre short course pool which includes sports like swimming, water polo, diving, synchronized swimming and open waters swimming.  Get set to check out the athletes swim faster than fish and win the award for their performances.
