PickleBall Championship 2016
Pickleball is a racket sport, combined element of badminton, tennis and table tennis. It was invented in mid 90’s as a pastime for children but it has now became popular among adults as well. All over the world, this sport is gaining attention including India too. Here’s a low down of the upcoming Pickleball Championships in Jaipur.
2016 Championship

a Pickleball Association (AIPA) will be hosting the 4th Inter-State National Level Pickleball Championship on 12th & 13th November 2016 at Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium, Jaipur. This stadium is one of the most prestigious stadiums located at Jaipur city.
This tournament is a sanctioned event of AIPA and is being organised by Rajasthan State PickleBall Association, duly chaired by Shri Karan Singh Shekhawat and Ms. Neetu Sharma. This emerging international sport is getting an encouraging response from all across the country. 12 State Teams are participating in this tournament. This sport can be pursued for fitness and recreation too. It is easy to learn but equally challenging to be mastered. Hence, more & more players are getting attracted towards it.
Outstanding Participation
Players of International stature like Atul Edward, Manish Rao, Natasha Beig are participating in this year’s tournament at Jaipur; having won many titles at International Pickleball Tournaments world over. Their participation in this tournament is a major challenge for players from Rajasthan who were dominating at previously held tournaments at Mumbai and Panipat. Approximately 150 women and men PickleBall players from 12 states will be participating for 2016. The competition is going to be tough and very strong to judge.

The players are ready. Let us come together and encourage them. For any tournament, an awesome audience is also the most important part. Like we encourage our cricketers and Kabaddi players, we need to show our presence for Pickleball Players too. Considering the nature of the competition, the forthcoming tournament will be spectacular to watch and witness live. Don’t forget the dates 12th & 13th November 2016. The prize distribution ceremony is scheduled right after the tournament on 13th November at 4pm at Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
